We had one of our best turnouts ever when Freshman from Cal State East Bay and Chabot College joined our Glassbrook Families for Saturday’s Glassbrook Cleanup!
The students were meeting their school requirements for a Freshman Day of Service, and the large turnout allowed us to clean over 6 miles of neighborhood streets and also weed about 2.5 blocks of the mulched berm along Huntwood between Schafer Road and Shepherd. Here are photos commemorating the day!:
THE GLASSBROOK FAMILIES AGAIN CLEANED SCHAFER, PATRICK, GADING, AND THE EXTRA “FRESHMAN DAY OF SERVICE MEMBERS” HELPED US CLEAN HUNTWOOD, AND HARDER — THINGS LOOK SUPER AGAIN!
SPECIAL THANKS TO ANTHONY AT STREETS DEPT FOR HAULING IT ALL AWAY! AND WE CAN’T THANK PRINCIPAL SAAVEDRA ENOUGH — SHE CAME IN ON HER SATURDAY TO OPEN AND CLOSE, AND SHE ALWAYS DOES A SUPER PROMOTIONAL JOB FOR US! WE HAVE LOTS OF PRAISE FOR THE 30+ GLASSBROOK FAMILY MEMBERS WHO CAME IN AT THE START OF SPRING BREAK! THAT SHOWS DEDICATION!
WE APPECIATE ROSALVA & MARIA RUIZ AND MARIA RADILLA AND CHRISTOPHER FOR THEIR GREAT ORGANIZING SKILLS AT THE LITTER GRABBER CHECKOUT DESK! AND SPECIAL THANKS AGAIN TO MARK SALINAS WHO HAS BEEN A SUPERHERO FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS FEEDING OUR VOLUNTEERS!
