SPECIAL THANKS TO THE HAYWARD STREETS DEPARTMENT: Streets Department has done an excellent job of applying the New Illegal Dumping Ordinance: Landlords at 45 multifamily units have been notified of large furniture piles at their properties, and 29 have taken responsibility for removing the piles of furniture within the required three days. Sixteen Landlords who did not remove the dumping were billed $1020 each since the city had to provide the removal for them. Things are looking much better thanks to the Streets Department’s strong enforcement! Thank you Todd Rullman, Streets Supervisor, and Matt McGrath, Maintenance Department Director!
