Our January cleanup saw 45 volunteers from many parts of our community pitch in to clean 5 miles of streets!
Our magnificent volunteer crew was honored by a visit from Hayward Unified School District Superintendent Stan Dobbs (far right next to Councilman Mark Salinas). The Superintendent saluted volunteers for their community involvement and stressed the importance of Hayward Schools being a great resources for our neighborhoods!
Special Thanks to:
Mark Salinas and his fabulous Kids Breakfast Club!
Glassbrook Families and Students
Local High School students from Moreau and Tennyson High Puente and Green Club
Nassim Mullen’s great Spiritual Empowerment Youth Program! They have been volunteering each month for years!
David Ringo, who has been cleaning for 5 years!
Extra Special Recognition to Mrs. Rosalva Ruiz and these high school students who did an amazing job cleaning Gading Road and the Harder Underpass all the way to Soto!
Some of the litter and dumping we removed from Huntwood Avenue. We need community members to step up and stop treating our streets like their own personal garbage can! Spread the word!
