Neighbor David Ringo spearheads beautification effort!

Glassbrook Neighborhood Resident David Ringo, an ardent neighborhood champion, decided the Huntwood entrance to Tennyson High School needed some sprucing up.  He took personal interest in a triangle-shaped piece of land near the stairs and ramps  at the intersection of Huntwood and Schafer.  He contacted the City of Hayward Landscape Division and asked them to install a Mariposa Tree as a distinctive centerpiece, and now he is personally digging holes and planting lovely drought tolerant plants that add great appeal to an area that was previously barren.  We salute you David!  The neighborhood appreciates your inspiring beautification efforts!  IMG_1859

IMG_1860IMG_1862David was also instrumental in planting over 100 new trees along Huntwood Avenue during the past several years.  David is one of the original members of the Glassbrook Neighborhood Cleanup Team which started 5 years ago.  Thank you David!
