160 Volunteers Serve Hayward at Glassbrook Martin Luther King Day of Service!

Martin Luther King, Jr’s Ethic of Service to Community was vividly upheld today by 160 Americorps and Glassbrook Family volunteers!  Here is what we accomplished together:

Planted 28 Redwood Trees Along Huntwood near Harris!  Special Thanks to Neighbor David Ringo for his hard work in making this neighborhood dream come true!

Cleaned 6 miles of Hayward Streets so they are litter and debris free!

Hung over 1000 door-knob hangers asking the neighbors to Pitch in and Avoid Littering!

Scraped labels off many street signs on Gading and Patrick!

Special Thanks to Our Incredible Americorps and Glassbrook Volunteers who Shone so Bright Today!  Look at our photo library to see them sparkle!:

Special Thanks to Sabrina Aranda at Americorps for her excellent organization.

Special Thanks to Tim Doughty at Landscape Division for his encouragment and for training us!

Special Thanks to Principal Ruben Pulido for his tireless efforts!

Special Thanks to City Councilman Mark Salinas for Kids Breakfast Club!

Special Thanks to the Hayward Streets Division for hauling away all the junk & debris!

You are all Amazing!
